About

The ERC (Education Robot Center) lab is a international cutting-edge laboratory of the Electrical Engineering Department of the National Taiwan Normal University, (NTNU). Our laboratory includes international students from across the world which is dedicated to the development of different robots including humanoid robots, with a focus on their application in areas such as industry, real-life robot uses, robot competitions, magic shows, and athletics applications.

Our research team is dedicated to research in various fields, including SLAM, ML, DL, RL, DRL, Inverse Kinematics, and computer vision. We are led by Prof. Jacky Baltes, the chairman of the FIRA, and Prof. Saeed Saeedvand a technical committee member of different robotics competitions with more than decades of experience in advanced robot development.

At the Robot Education Center, we are committed to exploring new frontiers in the field of robotics and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Our research is focused on the latest technologies and techniques in humanoid robotics, with a particular emphasis on creating robots that can perform magic shows, compete as athletes, and exhibit human-like behavior.
